The Ford Fiesta RS Turbo is a high performance model based on the Fiesta Mk3 XR2i introduced in April 1990.
The major aesthetic differences from the XR2i, introduced a year earlier, are 14-inch alloy wheels (not only one inch larger, but also different in design from the XR2i), the trim strips have green instead of blue stripes, rear spoiler and body door pillars, tinted windows and a vents on the hood. As an option, brakes with ABS and a heated Quickclear front windshield were available for the first time.
Inside were the Recaro seats lined in ‘Ascot In Raven’, a three-arm steering wheel with ‘Turbo’ engraved in the center and a gray-skinned gear selector knob.
The RS Turbo engine is basically the same 1597cc CVH used in the XR2i, but with a lower compression ratio. The Garrett T2 turbocharger was 8 psi in pressure and used an air-to-air intercooler. With 133 horsepower at 5500rpm and 183nm of torque, the Fiesta RS Turbo reaches a top speed of 214kph and is capable of accelerating from 0-100kph in 7.9 seconds.
This Fiesta RS Turbo has only 37,600km and is in a faultless state.
